Fine views from the terrace and super helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, setting us up for the day. Just a bit of noise from the road, but totally worth it for the overall experience!

Compact spotless rooms with great views of the sea, and a mini-bar, central heating, and a work desk. Spacious bathroom with a bidet; helpful and excellent staff...

The best part of our stay was the owners, Pino and Filomena who I believe went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The location of locanda is approx 2km from Amalfi and isn't too easy a walk, and the buses can get very very full. Pino and Filomena offered us lifts back and forth on a number of occasions and always with a smile, as well as arranging dinner reservations, day trips and checking bus times for our departure. Also, the breakfasts were simple, but great - coffee, juice, fresh croissants, beautiful cakes and yogurt.
Our room was a little small (but still comfortable) however not much natural light comes through as the only window opens to the side of the house. If I stayed again I would choose one of the front rooms with a balcony and sea view, as I would have liked to be able to enjoy the views and lovely location more. However if you're not bothered with spending too much time in the room and just want something comfortable with great hosts and service then the rooms with no sea view would be fine.

Exceptional service. Always there to help with a ride, give advice, make reservations for trips, etc. Low cost. When the room wasn't quite right, they upgraded us at no extra cost.

Filomena and her family are excellent hosts of this small but comfortable hotel and they went out of their way to make certain that we had everything necessary to enjoy our stay. The lovely terrace of the "Positano" suite, overlooking the sea, is well worth the upgrade and we were served breakfast there every morning as a treat. The hotel is too far (and the road too dangerous) to walk into Amalfi but they will drive you into town where you can catch boats to Capri and Positano etc. and will also pick you up at your convenience. We had a rental car which they parked away for us and we didn't end up using it the 3 days we were there. High marks from us!

beautiful views, reasonable room rates, convenient access to beaches
The shower is cramped!!! The overall décor feels outdated and could use a modern touch. Parking is a hassle, not clearly communicated before arrival!!!

We have stayed on the Amalfi Coast before, further from Amalfi town in a lovely villa 102 steps down the cliff-face & 15 mins walk from 'bus stop! We are elderly so the position of Locanda Costa D'Amalfi was ideal being on the 'bus route & the considerate owners met us in Amalfi with their car on our arrival & departure. They were fun, friendly & obliging supplying us with lots of information on the area. The rooms were spotless, comfortable & attractive, ours had a balcony overlooking the sea but we saw into one that didn't and it was more or less the same. 'Bus travel was easy & very convenient. We highly recommend this accommodation for couples.
We cannot fault the accommodation but would suggest a less-sweet breakfast might suit some clients.

All staff very friendl and helpful.Excellent Italian breakfast.. View from the bar at front of hotel wonderful
Unfortunately the room we booked had no view at all, 4foot to the next wall and across an external passage so couldnt really open windows. Finding the Hotel was also a challenge as we arrived by car and the coast road is somewhat of a chellenge. The pedestrian part of Amalfi itself in a car was amusing.
